This Labrador Retriever came in at 6-8 weeks since the last appointment, ready for a complete service. The coat had grown to the point where a bath and de-shed (no cutting needed) was both needed and requested. Bath with breed-appropriate shampoo, high-velocity blow-dry to remove loose coat — the amount of undercoat removed was significant, bath and de-shed (no cutting needed) completed. Nails trimmed, ears cleaned, teeth brushed. In Miami's climate, Labrador Retrievers at this interval develop significant undercoat buildup that causes heat retention. Time: 100 minutes.

This Labrador Retriever came in after 12 weeks without professional grooming, with a heavily matted undercoat that was trapping heat. Important: we do not shave double-coated breeds like Labrador Retrievers — the double coat protects against both heat and cold, and shaving causes irreversible damage. Instead, we performed an intensive de-shedding treatment: specialized shampoo, deep conditioning, 40 minutes of high-velocity blow-out with a powerful force dryer, and thorough hand-brushing. The amount of loose undercoat removed filled a paper bag. The Labrador Retriever was visibly more comfortable after the session. De-shedding surcharge applied. Recommended de-shedding treatment every 6-8 weeks going forward.

Regular Labrador Retriever client on a every 8 weeks schedule. This dog arrived in excellent condition — proof of what consistent professional grooming and at-home brushing achieves. We performed a light refresh: bath, blow-dry, light scissor touchup to neaten the bath and de-shed (no cutting needed), nail trim, ear cleaning. Total time: 75 minutes — about 20-30 minutes less than a first-time or infrequent client.
