This Pomeranian came in at 6-8 weeks since the last appointment, ready for a complete service. The coat had grown to the point where a teddy bear cut was both needed and requested. Bath with breed-appropriate shampoo, high-velocity blow-dry to remove loose coat — the amount of undercoat removed was significant, teddy bear cut completed. Nails trimmed, ears cleaned, teeth brushed. In Miami's climate, Pomeranians at this interval develop significant undercoat buildup that causes heat retention. Time: 65 minutes.

This Pomeranian came in after 12 weeks without professional grooming, with a heavily matted undercoat that was trapping heat. Important: we do not shave double-coated breeds like Pomeranians — the double coat protects against both heat and cold, and shaving causes irreversible damage. Instead, we performed an intensive de-shedding treatment: specialized shampoo, deep conditioning, 40 minutes of high-velocity blow-out with a powerful force dryer, and thorough hand-brushing. The amount of loose undercoat removed filled a paper bag. The Pomeranian was visibly more comfortable after the session. De-shedding surcharge applied. Recommended de-shedding treatment every 6-8 weeks going forward.

Regular Pomeranian client on a every 5 weeks schedule. This dog arrived in excellent condition — proof of what consistent professional grooming and at-home brushing achieves. We performed a light refresh: bath, blow-dry, light scissor touchup to neaten the teddy bear cut, nail trim, ear cleaning. Total time: 45 minutes — about 20-30 minutes less than a first-time or infrequent client. The time savings from consistent scheduling mean this appointment costs less and causes less stress for the dog. Next appointment scheduled.
